- Check thermostat operation
- Check pilot/ignition sequence (adjust pilot or replace thermocouple)
- Observe main burner operation
- Check flue draft on natural draft furnaces
- Test fan switch/heating fan relay operation
- Check primary limit operation
- Cycle furnace off and record "fan off" temperature
- Visually inspect heat exchanger
- Check blower wheel for cleanliness
- Check blower motor, if applicable oil bearings, check belt, bearings & pulleys
- Check air filter (air cleaner and/or replace filters)
- Check furnace temperature rise
- Fire furnace and leak check gas line from manual safety shut off valve to main burners

- Check auxiliary limit switch operation
- Test draft safeguard switch operation
- Perform combustion air test to insure that there is enough ventilation to replace air used for combustion
- Check humidifier operation
- Operate the furnace through one complete cycle
- Clean furnace cabinet

- Check thermostat operation
- At Furnace: Inspect filter
- At Furnace: Inspect blower assembly
- At Furnace: Inspect and lubricate blower motor
- At Furnace: Inspect blower assembly
- At Furnace: Inspect and lubricate blower motor
- At Furnace: Take amperage reading of blower motor
- At Furnace: Inspect condensate drain, flush if necessary
- At Outdoor Unit: Inspect condenser coil
- At Outdoor Unit: Inspect all electrical connections in condensing unit
- At Outdoor Unit: Check service valves and service port caps
- At Outdoor Unit: Check compressor voltage
- At Outdoor Unit: Check contactor contacts for voltage drop
- At Outdoor Unit: Read and record compressor discharge gas temp.
- At Outdoor Unit: Read and record suction line temp.
- At Outdoor Unit: Read and record liquid line temp.
- At Furnace: Check evaporator coil performance
- At Furnace: Check temperature drop across evaporator
- At Furnace: Check unit operation according to charging calculator
- At Furnace: Clean furnace cabinet
- At Furnace: Cycle system through one complete cycle
- At Furnace: Re-set thermostat
- Review ProCheck Cooling Performance results with customer
- Review any appropriate indoor air quality issues with customer
- Review energy maintenance agreement with customer
