ProTecs is a certification program for Carrier Dealer Service Technicians that uses nationally recognized heating, ventilation and air conditioning agencies to test technicians for technical efficiency and competency.
ProTecs Mission Statement
Improve customer satisfaction through the development of technical, mechanical, and customer relations skills training programs for service technicians and installation mechanics; and improve technician recruiting, hiring, and retention by providing a career path that rewards performance, continuing education, and a desire for excellence.
How Does ProTecs Help Achieve Consumer Satisfaction?
ProTecs helps deliver superior customer service through:
- Consistent training programs at RSC, which has seven training locations-Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Chillicothe, Columbus, Toledo, & Youngstown- and two of which, Cleveland & Columbus have fully operational labs with working furnaces, air conditioners, and refrigeration equipment for hands-on training.
- Supporting technicians with proper procedures (ProCheck) for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing our customers HVAC equipment using recommended practices from nationally recognized HVAC agencies.
- Making repair parts available from eleven RSC locations in N.E. Ohio to support Carrier dealers' customer service activities.
- Having customer assurance personnel available at the Carrier Dealer and RSC (Carrier distributor) level to support technicians and customers.
- Consistently and accurately measuring the level of customer satisfaction achieved by Carrier dealers and their service and installation departments, and reporting this information back to the technicians, the Carrier Dealers, and RSC (the Carrier distributor).
